Figure/ground discrimination is discrimination and must be rejected. No attributes of the World will be emphasized while others are neglected. No part of the visual field has any more meaning than any other part. No attribute of the World, simply because it is in close proximity to us, will become a figure. Contours and edges do not belong more to figure than ground and will not be seen that way. Nothing is irrelevant.

The Gestalt Laws of Perceptual Grouping have to be abolished. No objects or events simply because they are in close proximity are to be seen as belonging together. No similar elements are to be regarded as belonging to a group. No assumption will be made that any part of the World that appears to form an uninterrupted body in fact does so. No one is to fill in absent edges to create complete objects. No parts of the visual field because they move together, change color at the same time, or are all influenced by the same phenomenon will be considered a group.

Is Perception compulsory? Do we need it to survive? Another way must be found!
