Wealth:

Wealth is Work.

It can be an impediment to self determination.

It can impose itself on your time and space.

In some forms it requires a great deal of maintenance.

It is like the electrical potential stored in a battery or the potential energy in the water above a hydro electric dam. Its meaning remains a mystery unless it is set to Work.

Work can go well or it can go very badly.

If wealth is spent on useful and well made goods and competent (or perhaps even talented) labor it is power. It is a resource. If it is spent on shoddy goods and incompetent or dishonest labor it is an impediment. A lot of wealth means a lot of work and work never goes well all the time. When we work a great deal life becomes a complex pattern of success and failure. When life is a complex pattern of success and failure; little can be said about it.
